My name is Oded Hadar. I am a freelance cellist currently living in NYC.

My journey with the cello began when I was 4 years old. A close family friend who was an amateur cellist noticed my passion for music and decided to record a live concert of the famous cellist Yo-Yo Ma playing Tchaikovsky Rococo Variations for Cello and Orchestra. After listening to the recording I immediately fell in love with the sound of the cello and asked my parents to start taking cello lessons. From that point on the cello became an inseparable part of my life and gave me the opportunity to share my love for music with thousands of audience members in different concert halls around the world.

My education involves a Bachelor Degree in Cello Performance from Tel-Aviv University and a Graduate Degree in Cello Performance from New-England Conservatory in Boston, MA.

In addition to an active solo and chamber music career, teaching has been an integral part of my cello career for many years. From a teaching assistant to my cello professor in Tel-Aviv, I slowly developed to be an experienced and skilled teacher, working with children, adolescents, and adults of all levels in music conservatories and in my private studio.

I hope to have the opportunity to share my passion and love toward the cello with you!
